Stripe Billing to HubSpot
Stripe Billing is Stripe's subscription, invoicing and recurring-payments product. In this motion Stripe stays the billing and payments system of record and HubSpot is integrated rather than replacing it.
Stripe Billing data can move into HubSpot, landing mainly in Revenue Hub. 3 of 7 mapped objects move directly (Customers, Invoices and Products (and prices)); 4 items need manual work and 3 do not move. Plan roughly 1-2 weeks for a small move and 6-12 weeks for a large one.

No price list: cost follows volume, custom objects and how much logic must be rebuilt. Answer four quick questions for a planning range.
The three scenarios
Small migration
Under 5k customers, under 10k invoices
Native sync app and simple mapping.
Mid migration
5k-50k customers, up to 250k invoices
Custom objects for subscriptions and deal association.
Large migration
50k+ customers, multiple Stripe accounts or complex plans
Custom API pipeline, MRR modelling, finance reconciliation.

Access, mapping and limits
Start with how data leaves Stripe Billing: what you need to get in, what lands in HubSpot, and what will not.
REST (JSON, form-encoded requests), API v1 plus v2 namespace
A read-only restricted API key for the resources being extracted, or the HubSpot Stripe app's own connection.
A Stripe Dashboard user able to create API keys (Dashboard roles control this), plus a HubSpot admin to install the app.
A third-party guide gives roughly 25 requests/second by default in live mode, with stricter limits on Search and Files; confirm against Stripe's rate-limit docs.

How will you move the data?
HubSpot offers an integration for importing records from Stripe Billing.
- You need: A read-only restricted API key for the resources being extracted, or the HubSpot Stripe app's own connection.
- Permission: A Stripe Dashboard user able to create API keys (Dashboard roles control this), plus a HubSpot admin to install the app.
Native imports often bring over only some data, so check coverage per object in the mapping below.
Export each object, clean it, then import it into HubSpot.
- Stripe API (list endpoints with pagination)
- Stripe Dashboard CSV exports (not verified in this research)
- HubSpot Stripe data sync app (Stripe to HubSpot)
Limits: A third-party guide gives roughly 25 requests/second by default in live mode, with stricter limits on Search and Files; confirm against Stripe's rate-limit docs.
Migration and sync tools can move more than a plain import. Confirm which objects each one supports before you choose.
Best when volume is high, custom objects are many or automation is heavy. That is the Large scenario: 6-12 weeks, usually phased.

| Source object | In HubSpot | Moves | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customers | Contacts | yes | Two-way sync in the HubSpot app. Company association may need extra mapping. |
| Invoices | Invoices | yes | Stripe to HubSpot only. Native sync links invoices to contacts only loosely. |
| Products (and prices) | Products | yes | Stripe to HubSpot. Price and plan structure may need manual rework. |
| Subscriptions | Custom objects | partial | Needs Enterprise for custom objects. Subscription status automation is limited. |
| Payment transactions / charges | Custom objects | partial | Used as payment status references, not as a ledger. |
| Other Stripe data | Data Studio | partial | Read-only reporting use. |
| Subscription line items / deals | Deals | manual | Not in the sync app. Third-party tools or custom API work are needed to link to deals and line items. |
What to expect
Stripe holds the card vault. Token portability to HubSpot should not be assumed, and HubSpot payments use their own processor setup.
Keep these in Stripe and the accounting system. The HubSpot sync does not cover dynamic tax data.
HubSpot subscriptions and invoices created in HubSpot are not created in Stripe.
Prevents duplicate subscriptions or invoices.
The sync matches customers to contacts only.
Native sync has little actionable subscription data.
Needs Operations Hub Starter or Professional per the Marketplace listing.
Pick the processor-only path or the data-sync path deliberately.
Use a read-only restricted key and rotate it after cutover.
Confirm the HubSpot tier before scoping.
Test with edge-case customers before go-live.
Paginate and throttle requests.
Data governance and compliance
Decide what is allowed to move before anything is exported. Tick each gate once it is agreed.
How we researched this page
How much to trust each section, and where it comes from.
Stripe API auth and the HubSpot Stripe data sync app are backed by Stripe docs and the HubSpot Marketplace listing. Stripe's own export docs, HubSpot's own help pages and the sync app's limits were not checked. Object mapping rests partly on the Marketplace listing and third-party guides, and the cost and governance sections are analyst estimates.
